The Great Spirit in Me Honors the Great Spirit in You.

It is pronounced, na-ma, like mama, with a stay at the end, therefore, na-ma-stay. You may have heard this greeting, and wondered what it means.  I guess I heard people use it for a greeting on Yoga DVD’s, or yoga programs on TV.  I recently read a few different interpretations, but basically when you boiled them all down, they meant the above.

After learning the meaning, I can’t help but think how wonderful this greeting truly is.  By using such a greeting, we can remind ourselves that God dwells within each and every one of us, all day, everyday.  We truly are wonderful and blessed beings.
